Villa Lontana
V
Villa Lontana is an independent art space in Rome creating fluid platforms of encounter between ancient and contemporary practices. Villa Lontana is curated by Vittoria Bonifati and initiated in 2018 in collaboration with Jo Melvin. The first cycle of contemporary art exhibitions aims to create fluid platforms of encounter between the sculptures and artifacts from the Santarelli Collection and contemporary art practices. The collection – seen as an archive – has been the starting point for the curatorial program of Villa Lontana which includes exhibitions, publications, artist editions and sound projects.
