Two display cabinets with marble samples

The two cabinets contain a sample collection of antique marble, consisting of approximately 240 regular and square tiles per cabinet. The collection was assembled around 1830 probably in Rome, putting together materials from smaller collections and using two late 18th century lacquered and gilded wooden cabinets
