E
2The Museo d'arte Mendrisio in cooperation with the Antikenmuseum Basel presented the exhibition Roma Eterna, displaying sculptures from the Roman Imperial age to the Neoclassical period, exclusively from the collection of the Santarelli Foundation. The exhibition presented sixty-five marble works, alabaster and porphyry sculptures and fifteen stone fragments, ranging from the 1st century B.C. to the 19th century, as evidence of the evolution of taste and plastic techniques used in different periods and within specific iconographies of reference. The exhibition design was created by architect Mario Botta.
